Savannah wore this beautiful dress ~ a graduation gift from Granny ~ for her promotion ceremony Friday morning. It was the second time in almost 12 months that she has been promoted to middle school.
As you might recall, back in our Tacoma school district, elementary school ended at 5th grade. So she already had one semester of 6th grade/middle school under her belt before we moved here early this year, where 6th grade is back in elementary school. Secretly--or not so secretly--I'd be thrilled to find another district that has 7th in grade school. But alas, I must concede that my Baby Girl--my First Born--is officially out of elementary school. For good.
And I couldn't be more proud of her.
